Anu Malik is considered one of the finest composers in Hindi cinema. Although he started his career in the late '70s, it was in the late '80s and early '90s that Anu Malik began to achieve significant success. Prior to that, however, he had provided excellent music for several films, and some of the songs from those films gained significant popularity. Commercially, though, it was the 1993 film Baazigar, starring Shah Rukh Khan, that proved to be a milestone for Anu Malik's career, after which he reached the heights of fame.
